Warmer colors indicate higher fractional anisotropy, whereas cooler colors indicate lower fractional anisotropy values. Diffuse increases in white matter tract fractional anisotropy are present after injury compared with an uninjured brain, likely reflecting subtle tissue damage associated with concussion.
